Weekly roundup

This week’s #PrescribingTips

“Some flea sprays are being taken off the market due to regulatory and marketing reasons. Indorex can’t be sold after 28 December, but plenty of others continue to be available”

What else we have been up to this week:

  • Published our new Veterinary Prescriber module: Flea infestations - treating the environment.

  • Published our new Veterinary Medicines CPD module: Sources of information on licensed veterinary medicines.

  • Circulated our monthly newsletter.

  • The upcoming module on grapiprant has been revised following the circulation stage. It’s now going to be verified - our verifier checks that all the facts in the module are accurately represented.

  • Had a great meeting with Caroline Johnson from Vetpol, catching up on all things veterinary.

  • Received several new guest blogs, which we’ll publish over the next few months - some really interesting observations on veterinary practice.

  • Commissioned a new module for Veterinary Prescriber on dispensing.

  • Continued to work hard on spreading the word through social media.

Our purpose...

...is to provide vets with high-quality, independent, comparative information they won't find elsewhere. However, it costs money to do this. We are a small, self-funded company of two dedicated full-timers (Andrea Tarr and Carl Russell), together with a team of regular and occasional writers, editors, reviewers, verifiers and proofreaders, who support our rigorous editorial process. We are absolutely passionate about independent information and empowering vets by giving them what they need to make rational decisions about medicines. Buying a subscription supports independent information you can trust. If you are getting free information ask yourself who is paying for it and why!
