Adverse effects

Every year, the VMD publishes a review of the adverse effects to veterinary medicines that have been reported spontaneously through the pharmacovigilance scheme. The summary report lists the resulting changes to product information (summaries of product characteristics; SPCs). For more on this and whether the information we get on adverse effects is effective or timely enough, see this month’s Dog’s Blog.
