The Veterinary Medicines certificate is suitable for any veterinary surgeon, whether you are a new graduate entering clinical practice, or practising in the UK for the first time, or you just want to brush up on your knowledge of medicines regulations, parasiticides and critical appraisal of new medicines, or reflect on your own prescribing practices.
The certificate is made up of five units, each broken down into separate modules. There is a link to each group of modules in the unit headings below. You can also search for the group on the modules home page by inserting VC1 in the search box (VC1 is for VeterinaryCertificate Unit 1), or VC2 etc.

The estimated total time to complete the modules is around 14 hours, 30 minutes. This is based on the duration of the podcasts with time added to complete the MCQs, The modules might take you more or less time.
Add your own notes and reflections
At the bottom of each module, there is an area for recording reflective notes. Some of the modules include suggested reflective exercises. Any notes you make will be recorded in the ‘My Account’ area, visible only to you. There is a quiz at the end of each module (apart from module 6 of rational use of parasiticides). A certificate is awarded for each module when the MCQs are answered correctly..
