Companion-Animal parasiticides

Dog being given a flea and tick treatment

When Veterinary Prescriber started back in 2012, one of the first things we did was to try to make sense of the range of parasiticide products on the market. There are loads of brands and there was nowhere you could see everything that is available and make sense of it. Out of this we created the Parasiticide Guide, a database containing all the small-animal parasiticides marketed in the UK. It can be searched by species, parasite/disease, generic drug name, formulation and brand.

Parasiticide products represent the biggest section of the UK veterinary pharmaceutical market, so it is not suprising that there is so much competetive promotional activity in this area. The Parasiticide Guide and the wide range of modules on parasiticides aim to help veterinary professionals make sense of this complicated area and to use the products rationally.
